Do you have a list for black people to do a little self examination? Or is this inter reflecting just a one way ratchet? You wouldn't think so when you consider the crimes committed against white folk in SA today; they're mostly hate-filled and degrading, sure signs and symptoms of some deep lying cultural problems. Whites generally hold no such animosity for their fellow black South Africans, no matter how much you wish to fantasize about it, wallow over it, and generally create a little cottage industry out of thin air.
This white self flagellation needs to come to an end before there's any more discussion over race in SA. A discussion - I might add - black South Africans don't really want to have.

You don't need to go through all the elocution lessons and plastic surgery to better yourselves as a group. What you REALLY need to do is simply raise your standards and expectations. Start holding your local school teachers accountable. Stop burning and razing everything that appears to bruise your little African pride. And even - if we want to get down to it - tip your local waitresses somewhere close to what white people on average do, and then you'll start to see a difference in attitude towards you.
White people are not at fault here, unless of course you believe WE should be dropping our standards to level the playing field out there. That's a big ask of course, but with political and economic pressure, you might even manage it!
With all these race-based statistics thrown around in The NuSA, the one you all ignore (or one of many pertinent ones) is the one showing which race receives the most in tax benefits, and which race contributes the most to the tax coffers. With all these years of milking, you really have no one else to blame for the unlevel field but yourselves.

It wasn't the petty Apartheid laws that hurt black SAns in the long term. The prisons are filled to the brim with young black males who are the products of single mothers. The hooligans and street thugs running amok in SA are fatherless and directionless. Those heartless scum who will invade a home or hijack a car and torment their victims are ALL the products of a single mother environment.
We cannot and should not hold the single mother in high esteem. The two-parent household should be encouraged, and the single mother scorned and vilified. SA society just cannot afford more delinquents who grow up to be violent, self destructive moochers who are the spawn of the single mother. Encouraging them does nothing except destroy, no matter how old-fashioned you lot seem to think it is.

Your case is not well made when you consider hard, cold facts and statistics, so allow me to enlighten you with two relevant ones.
- Whites make up around 8% of the population and are contributing to the tax coffers at a far higher rate in raw Rondts, still. The ANC - in charge of the redistribution of said taxes - have failed miserably in not only elevating the black recipients, but in not suppressing whites. They've had twenty years to fleece whites, but haven't learnt that TRUE wealth is not redistributed, but only created. And it is created be investing in education, civil works and industry. The ANC is not encouraging this in black SA but has convinced the pipple that wealth is an endless stream of white money to be re-distributed.
- Whites make up by far, the largest number of new business owners in SA. Not pro rata, but in sheer numbers. The ANC due to it's concentration on land reform, Affirmative Action, BEE and other counter-productive programs have convinced the voters that salvation ONLY lies in removing white private property, and handing it over to blacks, no matter the reasoning. The blether over skills transfer is nothing but hot air and merely shifts the responsibility to whites who seem all too eager - unfortunately - to buy into this nonsense and aid in this useless effort in political patronising.

Considering the mouthpiece who made the charge in the following Sowetan article, we all know that the word 'bourgeoisie' is code word for 'white'.

Why is it that they insist on being so destructive whenever they don't get their way? In what way does this facilitate the required improvements in service? What sort of person makes these sorts of threats?
And another point: Who do they think uses the Gautrain if it isn't the Boss and Entrepreneurial class? If the job creators, whip-crackers and general management and labour-policemen and women can't get to their places of work, then who will open the doors for this layabout arsonist-class of welts?
And take note folk, THESE are the leaders in The New (yet hopelessly unimproved) South Africa. He is an admitted politician who allegedly uses political speech. These people who would willingly place civilian lives in danger, destroy public property and break the law wantonly, are the people's heroes. What does that say about the MAJORITY of South Africans today, and the legacy of the Mandelas? Nowhere else in the world would any destructive minded person get a way with these sorts of threats, particularly the racist undertones (although hardly subtle in my mind). 'English speaking' indeed. South Africa has an all too recent history of a random assortment of casual bystanders taking words like these to heart, and becoming a destructive, mindless force to be reckoned with. The carnage these people have wrought through the past years is untold, and the record of these bystanders is all too vivid to be ignored. These are commands that the pipple hear, not suggestions or empty rhetoric, they're taken to heart and acted upon.
I have absolutely no faith in these NuSAns and those who either ignore, listen to, give a platform or otherwise encourage this sort of scum. He and his savage opinions and thoughts should be roundly condemned, but they're not. Your country has so very little hope of progressing, or not becoming just another African hellhole.

I'm stunned that you have been Affirmatively Actionised into the position of editor, Makhudu. This was badly written, filled with mistakes and your point was not well made. So we shouldn't be angry, but we must?
Ignoring how appalling this piece was, I wish to point out that whenever whites decide to complain, 'whinge', form a protest against the government or otherwise make their negative presence felt, they are immediately branded as racists for acting against the noble rule of the black man. How on earth you're supposed to act democratically as a responsible citizen and a minority, when you're 'put in your place' by the ruling class with the eager approval of the vast majority of the country (including you, I suspect Makhudu), is beyond me.
I also would like to mention that the rest of the world is NOT sitting on the edge of it's seat, waiting for South Africans to make another move (irresponsible or other), or prove to us all why you're such wonderful people. You're really not all that important. In fact, on the contrary; we view you as being nothing more than on the road to being another failed African state. As far as we can all see, it's only a matter of time before we start seeing little kids in America jangling tins outside Macy's at Christmas telling us that it doesn't snow in South Africa.
White people in SA need to be angry at The ANC and all it's blithering idiot cadres, comrades and appointed filth. They also need to be angry at YOU and your media chums Makhudu as you have failed the democracy by not doing enough to inform, point fingers and hold the government accountable. You too (and your black media journalists) are culpable as you ignored the failings of Mandela, the complacency of Mbeki and the unadulterated lunacy of Zuma. Until now, while it is convenient. Truthfully, the rot started a long time ago, it is sheer cowardice to apportion blame, and even hint at white irresponsibility while you have dithered, fawned, ignored and patronised while the going was relatively good. Well now it isn't. How gutless.
First, embrace whites and accept them as your fellow South Africans with an equal voice in how your country is governed, with all the respect minorities should be afforded. Secondly, recognise the contribution (in particular their taxes) whites make to the country and how productive and valuable they are. Thirdly, roundly condemn the ANC excesses and the destructive actions of your fellow black protesters. And fourthly, start acting responsibly and give whites the voice they need to set the country straight.

While the rest of the world's tertiary institutions are clamoring for and enticing the best and brightest of lecturers in their fields, The New (unimproved) South Africa's 'youf' are demunding that their universities choose lecturers and management on light absorption virtues. Yes, you lot can all pretend that there are buckets full of black lecturers languishing at home instead of plying their trade, but we all know the truth: there simply isn't enough good black managers and lecturers to train students in any worthwhile skills in any numbers worth bragging about.
But why would these NuSAns INSIST on 'transformation' (a euphemism for less white, more black faces)? Your motivation can be nothing other than hatred. You can all dress this up anyway you like, but the simple truth is your burning hatred for whites is so intense, you would rather have a second or third rate education just as long as the lecture room chiaroscuro politics is correct. How gob smackingly stupid and self destructive can you be?
Let's face it. The examples of good black management and lecturers is so thin on the ground as to be relatively non-existent in The NuSA. These Centers for Blackness would have some legitimacy (as well as passing interest) if the tributes to Fist-Wavers were part and parcel of a larger tribute to Black achievements other than political whining. How about adding a few titans of industry (and I don't mean those who got their moolah through suspect political means)? Or some inventors or discoverers? How about a few scientists and engineers? No? Wonder why (not)? That's how Whites measure cultural achievement, for your information.
Let's be honest here Sandile, strip away the fist waving and there's nothing left. This Center wasn't built as a nod to Blackness, but rather as a stab at Whiteness. The hatred for white folk by Black NuSAns is so strong, so overwhelming, and so all encompassing that they build monuments and museums to this hatred (ironically using white tax payers money).
But here's a challenge to you Sandile. Black SAns received an education that far exceeded their contribution to society. They were out-breeding everyone and yet, the black education budget rose every year under Apartheid. The burden to society was enormous, and the fact that black Saffers did more to harm their own standard of living by producing more mouths to feed instead of investing in smaller families, is never really mentioned or addressed by the usual fist-wavers and white-kickers. I'm frankly sick of it.
Apartheid may not have been a fair system but as far as oppressive regimes go, they were a dismal failure. Black literacy rates rose, population increased, access to health and education levels (including tertiary) were unsurpassed EVEN THOUGH their personal/cultural practices were counter productive.
Black SAns had a VERY high standard of living when compared to the rest of Africa but this isn't the yard-stick you lot prefer using, but rather with those who had less in common with your cultures, namely white folk. It's all too convenient if you ask me.
Instead of bleating endlessly about your lot in life and why whites didn't do more (or less) for you, why is it that you can't seem to find your own boot straps, never mind pick them up? because a few trains were late. A random gathering of students, grannies,
labourers and street sweepers colluded and organised to do this damage on a
whim. How did that help them get to their destinations in a more timely manner?
And did the management of said trains and stations suddenly become
Mussolini-esque clock-watchers as a result of this bonfire?
The answer of course is no to both questions. And in much the same vein,
this attempt to halt the drawing up of new municipal lines will result in
naught, no matter which way the coin is flipped as the ANC have proven equally
useless across all political spheres at managing anything more than a row of
parked wheelbarrows, never mind anything as complicated as the bureaucracy of a
municipality.
In truth, these vile protesters haven't the intelligence to
understand what they need, only what they want, which are two entirely
different things. These people NEED a well managed municipality which delivers
it's services as efficiently and penuriously as possible. They WANT - however -
for their pals to get the jobs, and for the status-quo of idiotic decisions,
coupled with corruption and ineptness to continue. They are really too proud
and too stupid and hate-filled to understand and appreciate that one
blue-hair-rinsed old Afrikaner white woman who has worked for the post office
for forty years, would be a better candidate to manage their social affairs,
than any of the Xhosa-kissing-cousins they would prefer. And yes, race plays an
unfortunate roll in their idiotic preferences and decisions making. So they

South Africa USED to be a neat and tidy country with litter unseen, of course this was during the bad old Apartheid days when whites ruled, and the national flower was the Protea and not the OK Bazaars packet.
It should be noted that SA and Korea were on an economic par during the 60's, but SA has since been overtaken during that same decade and have been galloping ahead ever since. The NuSAns farm Luddite

ANY discussion on wage talks must include a very serious discussion on
farm labourers productivity, or lack thereof. It would really help matters if
they could do not just a full days work, but an honest one, and one that does
not entail a lot of policing to keep an eye on them. The NuSAns workforce needs
to enter the 21st century and start understanding they need to actually compete
just like the rest of the natural world.
Labour costs in SA are astronomical when you take into account their
deplorable work ethic, as well as the management and administration required to
keep them all in line. Farmers and other labour intensive industries are at
their wits ends in dealing with them, and keeping their fiscal balls juggled.
Time the ANC and their useless voters started to take responsibility for their
terrible attitude towards their betters, as well as their productivity.

Firstly, the VAST MAJORITY of blacks were ignored for the better part of 150 of those years. Secondly, you really have to be some sort of pathetic fool if you believe that you personally (or even by extension) have been directly or indirectly oppressed for those same 350 years. My great grandfather was shot in WWI leaving behind 4 sons. My grandfather was captured by Germans in WWII and not handed a good time of it, but two generations later I couldn't even possibly believe at any level, that Germany or modern day Germans owe me anything other than a how'd-you-do. As normal people we move on from tragedy or tragic situations and better ourselves. The past shapes our future somewhat, but not to the extent Africans like to believe (or is it perhaps to garner sympathy from the ever growing number of sycophantic white liberals?).
If the strength of our personal characters and the virtues of our cultures are measured by how we overcome adversity, then surely you receive a big, fat zero for whining constantly about your lot in life, pointing fingers at those who DO progress despite it all and kvetching over how others feel about you?
Black NuSAns need to start doing things for themselves. The most damning statistic and measure of Blackness in SA is the fact that there are more white start up companies than black.

You and your people need to learn that there is arrogance and confidence (both of which upset those who don't understand and who refuse to accept their own limitations and mediocrity), and learn to tell the difference. I have one issue with your list though. Number four mentioned debating farm wages. Firstly, the market needs to dictate what wages people earn, not government lackeys or parliamentarians, especially those who couldn't spell or even count to the minimum wage. Besides, raising the minimum wage will affect employment.
But the main question needing ACTUAL discussion is not the matter of recompense, but the one of productivity, which is a discussion best held between workers, employers and the ANC (if they feel the need to get involved). Pay is intrinsically linked to productivity so it's impossible to have a discussion on one without addressing the other. Unfortunately, this will never be acknowledged as it will ultimately reveal the soft underbelly of the NuSAns workers and their gob-smacking lack of productivity and destructiveness. Last year SA tea pickers went on strike. It was discovered that your average postpartum Tamil tea picker picks enough tea in 25 days to outdo the pickings of your average strapping male Saffer tea picker in an entire season!
This should embarrass SAns. But it won't because it'll be explained away as being racist to mention it. That's how SAns face problems, and how The ANC will deal with all 9 of your points Deidre.
